An ancient agricultural village of the 18th century comes back to life. It is now an oasis of peace, charm and silence in the Salento region, the back-country of Otranto, one of the most charming cities of southern Italy. It is here, in the Martano countryside, that this little corner of paradise is nestled, on a rocky hill dominating a valley scattered with centuryold olive groves. Surrounding the Naturalis Bio Resort & Spa, there are dry stone walls masterfully built by long-lost craftsmen. The careful restoration was guided by Marinella and Domenico Scordaru, who in refurbishing the property also took care of the walls. The buildings retain their utter charm: Lecce stone, elegant and linear, combines beautifully with contemporary furnishings, and luxury accompanies comfort. Guests have access to gorgeous pergolas with comfortable sofas where they can relax and read a book, listen to the gurgle of fountains and achieve sublime relaxation and concentration.
Everything has been designed to offer guests a platonic idea of timeless beauty. Those wishing to swim can dip into the clear and regenerating water of the beautiful infinity pool, naturally treated with sea salt. And for further pampering, there is a spa in the old hayloft. Lazing in warm water, surrounded by stone, you can choose a Turkish bath or relaxing massage. All treatments are strictly natural and local: all products are manufactured with produce from the surrounding orchards and gardens.
